On the productions in orchard :

The concern of total quality
The reconversion in bio is of course not a simple change of hardware store; organic fertilizers and plant health products bio against artificial fertilisers and pesticides of syntheses. The operated change especially amounts passing from a monoculture of trees to a vegetable cover diversified (green manures).

berg_20227x150_20_20horiz_2002That imposes a fine control of the putting under grass starting from mixtures of species adapted to the fertilities of the various grounds of the field. The putting under grass which contributes to diversify the ecosystem-orchard with an essential function of structuring of the grounds that ploughings cannot equalize. It has also a function of reorganization of the fertilizing elements, making them thus better assimilable by the tree. Only, in addition to the choice of the species, it should be managed grass so that it does not become concurrent citrus fruits. That means that one enherbe for example in certain pieces, that inter-row on two, and that the grass must be mown advisedly.

berg_20227x150_20_20horiz_2008Nevertheless, the productivity of the trees drop unrelentingly if one does not bring fertilizers. It was a large preoccupation with a its reconversion, which resulted in an effort to make rich and balanced composts. The citrus fruits, plants Mediterranean, being demanding out of nitrogen, of the complements of guano of birds or of oil cakes of ricinus are sometimes used. It is there too where Patrick recognizes the virtues of dynamization thanks to the préparâts biodynamics. Each heap interferes various sources organic matter is thus carefully sown. On the grounds as on the fruits, the effect of pulverizations which stimulate the forces of life and light appears obvious. Thus Patrick often noted the effect of silica on maturity as on resistance to rotting; an essential asset for the quality of these "migrating" fruits.

On conditioning and forwarding :

Patrick does not spare these efforts to take the care necessary to the preparation of forwardings (method HACCP(*) applied in station of conditioning and controlled by an approved organization (Certipac)). A total tracability of the production is ensured of the fruit-bearing block the unit of conditioning.
